COVID 19 Policy

You will find below our Covid policy, which will give you an overview of how we have adapted in order to comply with government guidance.

Safety is, and has always been, central to everything we do. A lot of the recommended measures, notably in relation to cleaning and hand washing, were already standard practice for us. We have introduced further steps, in line with government guidance, to minimise the spread of COVID.

CLEANING AND HYGIENE MEASURES

A clean environment is key to the health of the smallest of our clients – so it won’t surprise you that we have always taken most of these steps.

  • Studio will be cleaned before and after each session using a disinfectant on hard surfaces;
  • We will wash all props and blankets after each session – We always did! Any item that cannot be washed will be steamed and sanitised;
  • Handwashing and use of sanitiser gel shall take place regularly during the session;
  • We will cover the sofa with blankets that will be washed after each session;
  • I will wear a face mask at all times and parents will have the option to wear masks;
  • Parents will need to change nappies and bag them to take away with them.

BEFORE YOUR SESSION

We will ask you to contact us to postpone your session if you have – or if anyone you have been in touch has – any of the following symptoms:

  • Has a high temperature,
  • Anosmia (loss of smell) or
  • A new persistent cough

We may also need to postpone your session if we or anyone we have been in contact with has any of these symptoms.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE FOR YOUR SESSION

We will ask you to leave any non-essential items such as car seats and coats in the car. Before entering the studio, we kindly ask that you remove your shoes. We will then ask you to use hand sanitiser gel. We will maintain a 2-metre distance or minimise the amount of time we are in closer contact with you or your baby/child.

We will not be able to offer you any refreshments for the time being. Please do bring a bottle of water with you. Food and drinks will also be available at our wonderful neighbours, the Holy Cow café.

DURING YOUR SESSION

If you have had a session with us in the past, you may find things a little different. For example, we will minimise contact as much as possible, we will keep the session time to a maximum of 3 hours and we may ask that outside props are not brought in for the time being. We will avoid touching baby’s face as much as possible, and we may ask you to help us a little in refining poses.

AFTER YOUR SESSION

We would normally have you back in the studio to view your images. For the time being, all viewing will be done online. All available products will be available for viewing at your session and mock ups of what they would look like with your images in your own homes will be available, so your experience of discovering your images will be just as wonderful as it is in person – I just won’t be here to share the tears of joy with you!

Bath baby photographer

It’s never too early to book your Bath photography session. Most mums to be contact me at the beginning of the second trimester to ensure their place is reserved in order to capture those cute, sleepy newborn poses during the first couple of weeks of them being born. For family photography, our week ends get booked quite in advance, so please don’t delay.

Marina Feldman is Bath newborn baby photographer based and covers Bath, Somerset and covers Bath, Bristol and the South West of England.
