I never thought there was anything better than being a child at Christmas until I got to be a mum at Christmas… Sure it is hard work getting everything organised from getting relatives meaningful-within-budget presents to arranging for family to stay in your busy house, hunting down the so-longed Hatchimal that’s out of stock everywhere… But the look in my little ones’ eyes on Christmas morning makes me almost burst with happiness. I try to lengthen this by having an Elf visiting our house in the weeks before Christmas. The girls just love the magic of it all, and so do I, even if it means being up late thinking of something fun that our Elf could do. I also capture every elf mischief on camera, feel free to have a peek here. Seeing the world through their eyes is the best thing about being a mum and I try to capture all of this so I can look back on this magical part of their life.

All of this to explain why not all sessions get blogged at Christmas. A lot of these images were Christmas presents too, so I kept these top secret to help Santa surprise the grown ups too with lovely photographic presents 🙂
