Back in August, I photographed the beautiful wedding of Lucy and Richard. I met Lucy at home, where the whole family was getting ready in a relaxed and calm fashion. Photographing bridal preparation is something I really enjoy, because it is all about capturing the excitement, the anticipation… The wedding you’ve spent a year planning is finally happening… today!!! The ceremony was at the lovely church of St John the Baptist in Old Sodbury and was followed by a reception at Odd Down Manor in Bristol. I simply adore this venue, the light flowing through the entire building is simply stunning. Any bride is bound to love the grand staircase and everything, from the landscaped gardens to the courtyard, has been designed with wedding photography in mind.

Another of my favourite things to photograph is wedding details… You have spend so much time and effort getting it right, it has to be captured forever. Lucy had chosen an elegant and vibrant blue theme for her wedding and everything was simply stunning. This was a day for all to enjoy and the guests certainly had fun, including the little ones who played until late in the evening on the lawn with kites, enjoying the beautiful summer’s evening.
